Friending Frenzy!!!

A little bit about me...

Hi, I'm Corrie. I'm a 31 year old transplanted Washingtonian now living in the desert with her amazing husband of just over a year, two chocolate labs named Cooper and Rascal (that's Cooper in the icon) and two great in-laws. I work in retail support for Sears, love to cook, crochet, read, write and go thrifting. I don't comment unless I have something to say, and I'm not one of those people who will unfriend you if you don't comment on every single post that I make. I like to think that I'm a lot more interesting than this makes me sound, so come on over, take a look at my LJ and see what you think.

Hi! I'm Nathalie, 29 years old from Mons, Belgium. By day I make a living translating, by night I enjoy arts and crafts with varying degrees of success (I'd love to be writer, I dabble a bit in knitting, beading, sewing, scrapbooking etc.). I live with my SO, our almost 2 year old daughter and three cats who have a whole set of weird quirks. 2 of them are or should be on Valium but I swear it isn't me!

I post poems, about concerts I've been to, dreams (those are mostly private), what I had for dinner, stuff about my massage practice, things that make me cry, pictures of cute kitties, stuff about being a graduate student in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs, things about the southwest, memories from my past, many many quotes, and the occasional YouTube. I post photos of my tattoos. I post about herbs. I post things from my InBox. I post about how much I love my Flist.

You know, I just realized it's been a REALLY long time since I added anyone new to my FL...

I'm Joanna, 29 years old, and a lifelong CT resident. Although I have a BA in English and originally worked as a newspaper reporter, I was diagnosed with lupus and a rare autoimmune disease called polymyositis which seriously comprised my ability to walk. So, now I'm working as a data coordinator for the city's adult education department, compiling information and statistics for the state -- something that comes up often in my posts, as we tend to encounter a lot of, ahem, special folks on a daily basis over here.

I'm single and childless, although I enjoy hearing about others' SOs and kids. I'm the proud owner of a five-year-old bichon frise, Gracie, and I'm currently trying to purchase my first home (just as soon as I can find one that fits both my needs and likes!)

Some of my hobbies include travel, reading, writing, jigsaw puzzles, scrapbooking, and the usual (movies, TV, hanging out with friends, etc.) A few of my favorite TV shows include House, Lie to Me, Medium, Ghost Whisperer, The Office, Bones, and Two and a Half Men.

I'm not really an exciting person. I think I always sound more exciting in my intros than I really am. I'm 37, married (2nd time), no children, just felines. My day job is 911 Dispatcher but I secretly long to be just a simple housewife. Really no kidding. I'd love to be able to volunteer or maybe be a docent or something I don't have time for since I work. I'm also a witch and a 24/7 slave. Although I'm more normal than that makes me sound.

My name is Jen and reside in Canada with a stunning yellow labrador who is an extension to my left arm. He is my user icon. Bronze is part of username as a commemoration of his time at my side during his working days so I never changed my LJ name when his working days were over.

I am mainly a job hunter and enjoy writing, including just participating in LJ Idol this coming season. I enjoy dogs, computers, Scrabble, bowling (five pin), cats, traveling, etc.
